Background:
The domestic Underfloor heating (UFH) course is for plumbers and heating engineers who require the skills to design and install UFH systems. The UFH training programme is recognised by the Underfloor Heating Manufacturers Association.
COURSE / ASSESSMENT OVERVEIW
Be trained and assessed in the following areas:
The course does not cover the heat loss calculations that determine the heating requirement of a property. Logic Certification also has available the Foundation Certificate in Heating and Hot Water Design which teaches the knowledge and application of the CIBSE Domestic Heating Design Guide.
Pre-requisites:
Candidates for the UFH course must be plumbers with at least two years experience, or NVQ or SNVQ level two. Heat loss and hydraulic heating system design experience is also necessary.
Assessment method: Following completion of the training course candidates will be assessed using different methods inclding, practical tasks, a design scenario task and multiple choice assessment.
