Background:
This course was originally designed for Calor Gas Customer Services Technical Managers, to provide a robust procedure, strategy and systematic approach for attending to and dealing with gas related incidents, from minor gas escapes, to explosions and carbon monoxide (CO) fatalities.
Subsequently the course has been adapted and referenced to normative standards and has been attended by many other clients, including British Gas, Eon, nPower, CORGI, Gas Safe Register, Health & Safety Executive, HSE & HSL, together with many other large gas services businesses, local authorities, housing associations, gas managers, gas auditing businesses and gas suppliers. The course is based around the requirements of IGEM/GL8 and BS 7967 and is combination of theory based sessions and practical scenarios, including a full CO fatality reconstruction

Written and multiple choice, open book, assessment tests, together with a practical CO fatality scenario and the production of a suitable incident report based on the CO fatality scenario.
