Background:

SGAS offer packaged and bespoke ‘ACOP’ / ‘STGW’ gas training courses for ‘Gas Installers, Operatives and Engineers’ who do not necessarily work within the scope of ‘The Gas Safety (installation & use) Regulations’.

Premises exempt from the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations (L56) include, some factories, quarries, mines, sewage treatment works, test houses and gas training / assessment centres.( L56 )

Specialist Gas Courses have been carried out by SGAS across the UK and Worldwide in many areas of industry and manufacturing.

SGAS will carry out a ‘Training Needs Analysis’ on your business and design a specific ‘ACOP’ / ‘STGW’ Gas Course for your gas installers, operatives or engineers.

‘ACOP’ / ‘STGW’ Courses and certification will help to satisfy the requirements for ‘competence’ as laid down by the Health & Safety at Work Act

Pre-requisites:

The courses are particularly suited for mechanical or electrical engineers engaged ‘out of scope’ gas work in the installation, service or repair of specific gas fired plant.

Training / Assessment method:

Practical and theoretical training sessions and assessment via written and multiple choice, open book, assessment tests, together with a practical tasks and activities.
