Background:
This course is written and certificated by the APHC. The training course is a method of proving competence in the installation of solid appliances and heating systems fed by solid fuels under the requirements of Building Regulations Competent Persons Schemes.
The course can be attended by anyone involved in, or who intends to become involved in the design and installation of solid fuel heating systems. This does not just apply to installers but also architects, merchants, chimney sweeps etc.
Candidates who successfully complete the course / assessment will receive an APHC Solid Fuel Heating Course (wet and dry) certificate of competence.
Expiry:
This qualification relates to the current version of the regulations in force with respect to Solid Fuel Heating at the time of taking the assessment test.

Pre-requisites:
The course is aimed primarily at practicing heating engineers who already have some knowledge of the fundamental requirements of solid fuel appliances and heating systems
