Background:
This regulated QCF qualification is for learners that wish to demonstrate their knowledge in all aspects of testing electrical installation systems in the UK. It combines both the Initial verification and the Periodic Inspection and condition reporting of electrical installation and is based primarily on BS7671:2008 (Amendment 3: 2015) 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and IET Guidance Note 3 (2015). It is part of a suite of electrical qualifications including 17th Edition, Initial Verification, Periodic Inspection (Condition Reporting) and a combined Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection (Condition Reporting) qualification. (City & Guilds 2394 & 3495 equivalent)
COURSE / ASSESSMENT OVERVIEWS
Pre-requisites:
There are no formal pre-requisites to this qualification but it is recommended that candidates should have suitable knowledge of electrical theory and ideally be working within the electrical or a related industry. Candidates should contact their local centre for further advice and guidance on suitability to undertake the qualification.
Assessment method: Assessment through work performance activities and written assessments
