Good News – SGAS has secured Funding for Renewable Training!!!!

The Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) has released new funding for Heat Pump training. With this support, combined with the discounts provided by SGAS, we are now able to offer this course fully funded.

Available for Heat Pump Training and Low Temperature Heating Design.

We have put together a package to include Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) and Low Temperature Heating & Hot Water Systems (LTHHWS), as follows:

Course – ASHP & LTHHWS

To be eligible for the funding, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • you work for a business with 250 employees or fewer, you are a sole trader, or you are unemployed
  • you, or the business you work for, are certified by a competent person scheme for heating and hot water installations. Examples include: APHC, BESCA, Blue Flame Certification, Gas Safe Register, Certsure/NIC EIC, HETAS, NAPIT, OFTEC or Stroma
  • you, or the business you work for, haven’t already received more than £315,000 in government subsidies over the last 3 years
  • WRAS Water Regs
  • Level 2 or 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) in the Building Engineering Sector or provide evidence of an alternative suitable qualification and or provide confirmation of your related work experience and skills (minimum of 2 years).
