Specialist Gas Assessment Services (SGAS) was established towards the end of 1996, to provide quality Training and Assessment services for the Gas Industry, Plumbing & Heating Engineers, Oil Firing Technicians & Electrical Engineers.
Since then SGAS has gone through several changes including larger premises, increased staffing levels, expansion and improvement. Today we can boast a ‘one stop shop’ for all Gas, Oil, NVQ Plumbing, Electrical and Building Regulations training and assessment courses.
SGAS HQ is situated on the outskirts of Blackpool at the end of the M55 motorway, just 10 minutes from junction 32 of the M6 motorway. The 15,000ft2 centre has offices, classrooms and 45 training/assessment bays that have been designed to facilitate individual and packaged courses / assessments.
Other courses have been developed to serve specific needs outside the scope of ACS, these include Gas Incident Investigation, Gas Emergency Response Training, Call Centre Staff Training, Advanced Combustion Technology, Commercial Metering & Volumetric Correction and many more ‘Specialist Courses’. As SGAS began to grow in size and popularity, larger organisations, including other training centres and their staff / managers began to use the facilities to train, develop and assess their staff. Strong links have been formed with many large and successful businesses and training centres around the country.
